Vibrant Moss Denver Wedding Inspiration

Colorado Styled Shoot

The Inspiration

The first time I saw Moss | Denver on Instagram, I began dreaming shooting at this incredibly unique venue. I was blown away at the versatility the venue offers, and I began putting together my dream team of vendors. Moss is such an amazing space with so many details that allow couples to create their unique, dream wedding. The moss walls inside the venue are stunning with vibrant greens that our team of vendors couldn’t wait to create unique details to showcase the venue’s industrial and warm qualities.

We were inspired to create an elegant and romantic setting for our intimate styled wedding with Sabrina and Taylor. We wanted to enhance the venue’s warmer and industrial elements by adding stronger tones and eclectic details like the 12 foot scripted banner hanging in front of the moss wall. The banner itself is a work of art created by Katie Warner of Quaintrelle Design who hand scripted e.e cumming’s beautiful poem “I carry your heart with me.” Cumming’s poem has been my long time favorite and it became the heartbeat for our entire team and shoot.

We wanted to capture the intimacy of a smaller wedding with Sabrina and Taylor while also creating a lighthearted and passionate affair for our stunning real couple. Sabrina and Taylor were married only 3 months prior to our inspiration shoot which our team absolutely loved. They were so comfortably in love with such a sweet newlywed glow. Sabrina and Taylor met through a mutual friend. After several months of Taylor pursuing Sabrina, she realized she had feelings for him. So she gathered the courage to tell him during a friends camping trip over the July 4th weekend. She thought the ship had sailed, but Taylor clearly didn’t think so. They dated for 8 months and were engaged; now they love sharing a mutual passion for climbing and outdoor adventures. Our team could not have been more thrilled to work with such a sweet and adorable couple.

We designed our details to stay within our color scheme of taupe, slate blue, dusty rose, and slight touches of gold + beige as a way to enhance Moss’ vibrant greens as well a subtle, lighter tones. Our strength for our shoot truly came together in our team of vendors. We were all on the same page for every detail that we put together and so passionate about enhancing each team member’s creative piece and perspective. We truly wanted to create a one-of-a-kind team that would be a powerhouse of vendors who can serve together to create our bride’s every dream on her wedding day.

For a bride planning her dream wedding, I would love to share what an incredible team of vendors who deeply care about making our bride’s desires our unified passion can do together. When a bride selects vendors who work frequently together with a deep level of commitment and unified passion, then we can create something incredible together. I would love to advice brides to find vendors who recommend and refer one another, who can vouch for the quality of work and passion each vendor brings to the table, and who care deeply about the couple’s wedding day.

In Colorado, we love having the opportunity to offer our couples a beautiful alternative to an outdoor wedding. Moss | Denver serves as the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding in our gorgeous Rocky Mountains.
