Our wedding day was a dream come true. Not only did we get married in our favorite little mountain town, but we were fortunate enough to be surrounded by our family and closest friends. When we first started discussing where we wanted to get married, Crested Butte was our number one choice. It is a magical place any time of year, but wildflowers are our absolute favorite and we knew we needed to make them a part of our special day.
Our day began with a first look among the most beautiful lupine that we had ever seen. It was a super bloom after all. From there, we made our way up to the venue with our bridal party. We had rented a van to drive us to the top, and when we arrived, we were all in awe of how truly spectacular the view from Ten Peaks is. The time we got to spend with our bridal party before the ceremony was priceless. We laughed, we cried, we drank, we sang, and we danced. The ceremony could not have gone any smoother. The groom’s cousin officiated the wedding, and he had us laughing right from the start. We kept it short and sweet (just like the bride).
We really enjoyed spending time with our guests during the cocktail hour, but we think one of the true highlights of the day was dancing the night away on the dance floor. So much joy was felt as we sang our favorite songs and rocked out with our guests as laughter rang through the tent. The food was so delicious, but the dessert was the bride’s favorite part. We had ice cream from our favorite ice cream shop in town, Third Bowl. We also had cupcakes and cake for everyone to enjoy. The night ended with one final dance and a bus ride down the mountain with our wedding guests, courtesy of our driver, the Mayor. This was a day we could live over and over again. We feel so blessed to have had the most perfect day with the most perfect vendor team. Crested Butte will always hold a special place in our hearts.
