Valentine’s-Inspired Details to Decorate your Day with Lots of Love

With Valentine’s Day right around the corner, we are feeling inspired by all things pink and heart shaped for weddings!  Whether your wedding day is close to Valentine’s Day, or you just love love, you can incorporate some of this inspo into your own wedding day (or bridal shower or bachelorette or day after brunch) to add even more *romance*.  Scroll through to see where you can include the love-theme in the little or big things!

Florals

One of the most obvious ways you can lean into this color theme is in florals, since so many gorgeous flowers come in hues of pinks, purples, and reds! We’re inspired by pink garden roses, ranunculi in rouge, and moody purple orchids.  Go all out on the love colors in your ceremony arch, tablescape florals, and bouquet!

Cocktails

Cocktails might be overlooked as a “decor” item, but over at Rocky Mountain Bride we believe cocktails can be a beautiful focal element that ties in to your color palette and theme!  Lots of cocktails can have pink shades to them – palomas, cosmopolitans, and different muddled berry drinks to name a few.

Accessories

For a subtle pop of pink, opt for pink jewelry, shoes, or a fun pink purse to accessorize your bridal look!  We’re currently inspired by dainty, romantic pink pearl drop earrings from Ettika & this adorable floral petal purse from Lulus that is so Valentine’s-coded! Pink Jimmy Choos never fail to make us fall deeper in love, too.

Table Decor

As mentioned above, florals can add pinks, reds, and purples to a romantic tablescape.  But this isn’t the only way you can lavish a table in love!  We love tapered candles (or any candles for that matter) in pink hues, adding an extra romantic glow to the table.  Pink linens – napkins and tablecloths alike – can add even more to the love theme, and pink glassware is such a cute way to incorporate Valentine’s inspo.  Pink stationery (think menus, table numbers, and place cards) is also a great way to add to this color palette!

Cakes

Cakes are basically one big symbol of love to start with, so why not use your cake to lean into the theme even more!  Pink vintage cakes with cherries (or strawberries, or raspberries) on top are such a fun way to play on the traditional Valentine’s feel. We also love little heart shaped cakes, which are perfect for photos of cake cutting and can be such a simple way to pay tribute to the love holiday on your big day.

Outfits

If you don’t want to be subtle when it comes to popping in some pink, then wear your *heart* on your sleeves!  This peachy linen suit from Banana Republic is a to-die for way for a groom to incorporate this color palette, and a fun reception outfit change can always be a way to include hot pink (or red or purple) on the big day.  Even pink-toned wedding dresses are an option, so have fun with your style and embrace the love!
