Inspiration Behind the Shoot

From the Planner, Carly Witzburg of Milk Glass Productions

One of the main challenges with any wedding or event is the mixing of different two styles to create one that is unique. Clients often choose a venue that is one style, and we then have to figure out how to tie in a totally different style to accommodate the couple's tastes. In this shoot, we wanted to tie together the traditional elegance of the downtown Oxford Hotel with a Bohemian twist. At the same time, we wanted to use the alleyway of the Oxford Hotel as the main backdrop to bring in an urban, downtown feel.

The Diamond Reserve in Cherry Creek provided us with $150k worth of jaw-dropping beautiful jewelry, including earrings, two gorgeous rings, and three tennis bracelets. Riki Dalal, an Israeli designer, shipped us a gorgeous two-piece bridal dress from Israel. Link Photography has an unbelievable eye and such a romantic style, we are totally in love with the pictures. We had so much fun doing a Romeo and Juliet type shot out of an upper window from the salon at the Oxford. The flowers, by Fiori Flowers, completed the look with beautiful colors and greenery for a whimsical look. Our models, Katie Floyd and Blake Sutton, were drop-dead gorgeous, and Megan Cary totally aced the look we were going for. Thank you to our amazing vendors and the Oxford Hotel for hosting us!

Fun fact: The darling models in this shoot are now engaged to be married! Congratulations Katie and Blake on your upcoming I do!
