Congratulations, you are engaged! You have picked the perfect date, booked that beautiful venue and found the photographer of your dreams. With the big details decided on, you and your babe want to announce to the world that you are engaged and the perfect way to do it is with your engagement session! Here are a few top engagement session locations in the Fraser Valley complete with mountain views, whimsical vibes and the perfect opportunity for you to snuggle with your babe and get excited about your wedding day!

Nestled in the valley between the marshlands of Pitt Meadows and the Golden Ears Mountains, is Pitt Lake. This has to be my favourite place for your engagement or wedding photos. The epic views of the mountains, tall grass fields and pristine lake in the background give so much variety to your session, you really can’t go wrong with this spot and you would have no idea it is only 15 minutes out of the city!
Golden Ears Park is home to so many beautifully hidden corners and paths that it is hard to pick just one favourite area. This is a forest lover’s dream location! You could easily get swept up in the lush ferns and winding paths dancing with your babe for your engagement session. This park is filled with creeks, waterfalls and a crystal blue lake and if you’re lucky (and an early riser) you can catch sunbeams shining through the mist in the forest, it is so magical!
Alouette Lake is inside Golden Ears Park and is one of my favourite spots for water and mountain views in the valley! The rock beach surrounding the main entrance to the lake is a popular spot for tourists and photographers, and you can see why with these mountains!
If you are an ocean lover but don’t want to travel too far from the valley and don’t want to deal with the tourists, Blackie Spit Park is the spot for engagement photos. With rolling hills, tall beach grass and a sandy shore along the ocean, it provides the perfect variety to your beachy engagement session. I recommend shooting at golden hour on a week day to catch the perfect sunset and have the beach all to yourself.
This is one of my favourite seasonal locations for the more whimsical garden bride! Down a back road in Langley, BC is Full Bloom Lavender Farm. Rows on rows of beautifully scented lavender line the property and are available to rent for a private sunset session for you and your babe! Only available during the summer months, it is best to plan your session sooner rather than later if you want to frolic in the lovely purple blooms.

If you are looking for a quaint town vibe with river and forest views for your engagement session, Fort Langley is perfect. Filled with beautiful shops, hidden nooks and an iconic yellow community hall, the town of Fort Langley is ideal for the couple that wants to have a bit more architecture in their engagement photos but still has the option to go walk along the river, only minutes away from the middle of town.
