Yuki and Ryan met seven years ago this October at a Halloween party. Yuki has just moved to Vancouver from Tokyo when her friend invited her to a Halloween party, and there was Ryan. They didn’t talk as much that night, but were both interested in each other. Two days later, Yuki’s friend invited her to another Halloween party and there was Ryan, again! They talked and partied all night and that was their beginning! It was a bit challenging at first because English isn’t Yuki’s first language, but Ryan was always there for her, to listen to her stories, support her and always took time to understand each other. Yuki never imagined married life with someone, but she could imagine a happy and fun marriage with Ryan. Since then, they have been together for seven years this coming November. They got married in Maui in 2017, welcomed a beautiful baby boy and decided to renew their vows at the Vancouver City Hall that included just them.
