Thanks to bride Maggie Grace, we’ve discovered the ultimate summertime bridal shower inspiration, a chic and colorful celebration brimming with seasonal charm. What better way to capture the spirit of summer than with an Aperol Spritz–themed bridal shower?
This playful yet elegant idea combines vibrant color, refreshing flavors, and effortless Italian flair, making it the perfect toast to love.
Picture a sun-kissed afternoon where sparkling orange hues set the scene, bubbly cocktails sparkle in flutes, and laughter flows as freely as the Spritzes. Whether you’re hosting an intimate brunch or a lively garden party, this theme strikes the ideal balance of sophistication and fun, ensuring a celebration that’s as bright, refreshing, and unforgettable as the drink itself.
Thanks to Maggie and her amazing friends, vendors, and photographer, we compiled the perfect gallery for your inspiration! To bring the Aperol Spritz theme to life, here are a few chic and creative elements to incorporate:
Aperol Spritz Bar:
Set up a stylish Aperol Spritz bar with all the essentials: Aperol, Prosecco, soda water, ice, and plenty of orange slices for garnish.
Include additional garnishes like fresh herbs (mint or basil) and fruit variations (berries or citrus twists) for guests to customize their drinks.
Have bartenders or DIY signage with instructions on how to make the perfect Aperol Spritz.
Decorations:
Use a bright color palette featuring Aperol orange, complemented by white and gold for elegance.
Decorate with orange blossoms, roses, marigolds, or gerbera daisies to echo the bright orange theme.
Incorporate citrus-themed decorations like oranges, lemons, and limes! We love the below combination of flowers and lemons to brighten up the tables.
Invitations and Stationery:
Design invitations that reflect the Aperol Spritz theme using the signature orange and sophisticated fonts.
Include cocktail recipe cards for guests to take home.
Food Pairings:
Maggie planned the perfect Italian food pairings for her guests. Each guest got to make their own fresh wood fired pizza with toppings that was made from a wood oven they rented. The guests also also had fresh bread, a mediterranean fresh made pasta with tomatoes, olives, olive oil, fresh parmesan, and angel hair pasta. For dessert, they enjoyed tiramisu and gelato! The perfect Italian pairings.
Here are some other food choices perfect for this theme:
Italian-inspired finger foods (prosciutto, mozzarella, bruschetta)
Caprese skewers, pasta, or salad (tomato, basil, mozzarella)
Light seafood appetizers (shrimp cocktail, smoked salmon)
Citrus and herb-infused salads
Table Settings & Accessories:
Use elegant glassware suitable for Aperol Spritz (large wine glasses or tumblers).
Incorporate orange-themed napkins, coasters, tablecloths, and place cards.
Add sparkling accents like gold or rose gold flatware and charger plates.
Activities & Entertainment:
Aperol-themed photo booth with props like oversized orange slices, sunglasses, and fun cocktail signs.
Cocktail making contest or tutorial to engage guests in creating variations of the Aperol Spritz.
Party Favors:
Mini Aperol bottles with a personalized tag for a cute take home treat for your guests
