In 2023, we saw new trends, new takes on old trends, and all of the colors when it came to wedding party style. Couples throughout the Rockies used their personal taste to make their wedding parties look even more stylish – from satin gowns to bold bouquets to chic suits. Your wedding party exists because you need your favorite people on your wedding day of course, but they can also tie a color palette and theme together with what they wear! Scroll through to see what we’ve narrowed down to be the absolute best wedding party looks in the 2023 wedding year.
Maral & Kayden wed at a winery in Lake Country, British Columbia with their wedding party looking wonderful. This year they showed us that your girls can stand out without the bright & bold colors, too! Maral had her dream team don champagne satin dresses in midi-length (gotta show off those cute shoes!) from Park and Fifth Co. paired with bursting baby’s breath bouquets. Check out more *champagne* style from this wedding day on our blog here.
Two: Garden Girls
Adele & Derek said “I Do” in the spring of this year, and their wedding party left an impression for the whole year. With mismatch spring-colored dresses from V.Chapman, Theory & Bec & Bridge – Adele’s entourage was able to find the gown just right for them. The different colors, lengths, and textures of dresses all came together to create a look so hot they needed parasols to cool them down! See more springtime style from this wedding at The Lodge at Blue Sky in the 2023 Utah Spring/Summer issue.
Three: Summer Style in the Desert
Jordan’s Jewels stunned in mismatched dresses – all different colors, patterns, lengths, and textures – creating a unique ensemble that felt cohesive in the canyons of Zion. The gorgeous bouquets from By Bloomers tied every color from the gowns together even more. See more of this desert warmth in the 2023 Utah Spring/Summer issue.
Four: Moody in the Mountains
Samantha & Josh said their vows at the summit of the Banff Gondola, a place near and dear to this East Coast couples’ hearts. Their wedding party looked dreamy in their dark colors with all white bouquets from Fall for Florals against the white, snow-capped mountains. View more wedding party details from this day in the 2023 Fall/Winter Canada issue.
Madison & Lane’s wedding day took place in late summer in beautiful Boulder, Colorado and was filled with a rich color palette of warm oranges, blush, and golden browns. Madison’s bridesmaids donned classy satin gowns from Anthropologie in hues of burnt orange – a perfect shade for the heat of the summer, especially in rocky Boulder. See more photos of the wedding party (including their matching terracotta pajamas!) on our blog here.
Allison & Jimmy said their vows at one of our fav venues in Santa Fe, El Rey Court. The wedding party wore what they looked best in, and all of the colors and patterns went perfectly with the Southwest vibes of the space! The wedding design leaned into yellow as a primary color, throughout the gorgeous flowers from Renegade Floral, and most of the bridesmaid dresses. Check out more of this creative color palette in our 2023 National Issue.
Meagan & Thomas married at a Tudor style mansion on the river in British Columbia. Meagan’s bridesmaids adorned satin gowns from Revelry and walked down the aisle with their blooms from Olea Floral. See more from this cozy wedding day in the 2023 Canada Fall/Winter Issue.
These summery dresses from Runway Scout & Billy J make us feel like we should be on a beach somewhere hotter than the Rockies! Channing & Jett were *just married* at The Stakeout in Taos, an area known for it’s adobe architecture, bold sunsets, and red earth – making this gown color palette match the wedding in so many ways. See more of this bright summer wedding party in our 2023 New Mexico issue.
The guys rivaled the gals in this one, and we are just as obsessed with the groomsmen’s suits as the bridesmaids’ gowns! Gracie & Tommy got their group together in style – with midi-length bridesmaid dresses from Show Me Your Mumu and plaid suits from ASOS in a matching color for the groomsmen. The tan & champagne hues stood out against the green of Evergreen, and you can check out more photo evidence in our 2023 Colorado Fall/Winter issue.
Heather & David hosted their wedding day at the famous Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. The wedding party wore different shades and patterns of blue dresses from fan-favorite Reformation, becoming Heather’s “something blue”, collectively. See more of these blue hues in the 2023 Fall/Winter Issue of RMB Colorado here.
Sarah & Greg said sweet vows in Sun Valley, where Sarah’s family calls home. To make things even sweeter, her bridesmaids stunned in springtime floral from shops including Markarian, Loeffler Randall & Mac Duggal. See more of this adorable look in the Idaho 2023 issue of RMB here.
We are firm believers that a fall color palette just looks good on everybody! Kate’s bridesmaids wore different rust hues of Revelry dresses, while Anthony’s groomsmen leaned into the western-feel with their tan cowboy hats. The color scheme matched perfectly with the red rocks of Colorado Springs, where the couple wed.
Tay & Brock wed in Wyoming, with pretty pastels all around them. From Tay’s bridesmaids’ dresses in pink & purple shades, to pastel spring-colored ranunculus & tulip bouquets from Lilly & Co., check out the brightness the wedding party brought to this day in our 2023 issue of RMB Wyoming.
Hayley’s bridesmaids wore mismatched toile print dresses with different frills and ruffles. But – the mismatch didn’t stop there – we are absolutely obsessed with the mismatched monochromatic bouquets from Celsia Floral that these gals held against their springtime dresses – each bridesmaid holding all of one flower to tie in with the bride’s bouquet. This might be a new trend alert, and you heard it here (and in our 2023 Canada Spring/Summer issue) first!
Fifteen: Brighter than the Skyline
Just like original tradition holds, Madeline had her girls standing in all white by her side. In 2023, old wedding traditions were brought back to life, and this wedding party on a rooftop in downtown Edmonton is the perfect example. The color came through in the bouquets, though, and Fall for Florals did not hold back! Check out more photos of this wedding party (which rival the city views!) in our 2023 Canada Fall Winter issue.
