I was about to start my final course in the CPA program and Brandon knew that I needed a getaway before I went into study mode. I had always found peace in waterfalls and scoped them out on every trip we took. Brandon looked up the closest waterfall to Edmonton and planned an overnight trip for the day before my module started. We woke up bright and early to beat the crowds and drove down to Crescent Falls for a quiet and intimate morning. I was overlooking the falls enjoying the view while Brandon flew his drone around to get some good photos. He had the drone hovering above the falls, walked over to me, and hugged me from behind. He tried three times to get me to turn away from the falls and on the third attempt, he finally had me turn to him down on one knee. Once my brain caught up to what was happening, my mouth dropped and I couldn’t say yes quick enough. We drove straight to my parent’s house to show them the video and see my mom’s reaction to what just happened. My dad was already aware of the plan as Brandon asked for his blessing while golfing earlier that week. I don’t know what part of the day was my favourite, whether it was the incredible setting, my best friend asking me to marry him, or my parents’ reactions but I can’t wait for what our future holds.
– Bride-to-be, Nicole
Nicole and Brandon knew they wanted a mountain setting for their engagement session so we picked a weekend in September when myself, their hair and makeup artist, Sheena, and of course Nicole and Brandon could all be together in Jasper! Nicole and Brandon have the most incredible energy! Even though a storm was approaching we knew we would shoot through the weather no matter what. The storm decided to break just to the east, leaving us the most beautiful light and sunset all evening.
