One of our favorite moments from their wedding day was their ADORABLE first look, featuring an appearance by their sweet pups, Hank and Willie. It was so raw and sweet and the bridesmaids watched from afar on the cabin’s patio. Mollee lifted up Matt’s sunglasses to wipe away a tear as Matt saw Mollee for the first time on their wedding day. It was such a tender moment to witness.
Mollee and Matt’s wedding was so simplistic but beautiful. When the Sawtooth mountains are your backdrop, you don’t really need many decorations. The couple adds to nature’s beauty, and nature adds to the couple’s love and beauty. (Let’s not forget to mention Mollee’s AMAZING dress and bridal braid! Can bridal braids be a 2019 trend, please?)
Our other favorite moment of the day was taking sunset photos with Mollee and Matt. There was a brief power outage right before the wedding toasts at the reception, so we decided to take advantage and take some photos. Mollee and Matt really got to soak in the beautiful sunset against the Sawtooths, just the two of them. To take a moment to breathe in the excitement and exhaustion of the day.
Their reception was definitely the most energetic and had the most dancing out of any of the weddings we worked this year. I hadn’t met Mollee and Matt until the day of their wedding, but it felt like I’d known them for much longer. They’re such sweet, kind, and fun people. They invited us to stay to dance, drink, and celebrate with them after our coverage had ended. We even got some swing dancing in!
The whole day really reflected who they are as a couple: two people in love who want to celebrate with their closest family and friends in one of the most beautiful places in Idaho.
