It’s finally spring in Colorado and we celebrated by creating this gorgeous sunrise elopement at my favorite secret spot in Boulder! After a short hike, we had the entire vista to ourselves as Wellington and Daniel read from the lovely vows styled by Abby Co. Design. Somewhat oddly, paper is definitely something that calligraphers and photographers can mutually gush over, and I am obsessed with the torn edges Abby created on these vows!
Wellington kept warm with a simple serape that complimented her wedding dress. And this dress! It’s a Rue de Seine- handmade with large intricate lace pieces, and comes all the way from New Zealand! It was truly a please to photograph this amazing piece of designer art. Paired with Wellington’s stunning natural curls is a crystal hair comb that Amy Merritt Hair and Makeup made herself!
Daniel wore a dark wool tweed- a style that compliments the boho theme very well while also having a very classic English feel. Wool was a great way to ensure the groom’s comfort during the hike and ceremony.
We love that more couples are choosing to elope in Colorado. Our state is a wonderful place to get married; it’s brimming with natural vistas, adventure, and stunning sunrises. Even a busy town like Boulder has hundreds of hidden gems tucked away in the towering foothills of our famous Flatirons. I love location scouting for all of my couples and finding the best spots for them to celebrate this day together!
