Garrett and Hailey met three years ago in September. When Hailey had first moved to Bozeman for college, it was the first week of class, and Hailey and her friends decided to go to Old Chicago for dinner. The girls sat on the patio, and Garrett was their server. After he greeted them and walked away, Hailey said to her friend, “our waiter is cute, like REALLY cute.” By the end of their meal, she decided to leave her number for him. Years later, she would find out that Garrett saw her walking in and told his co-workers that she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen, and if she sat on the patio, he was going to take their table. He then told all his co-workers that he was going to get my number. When he got it, he ran to the back and yelled, “I got it!!” Fast forward to the spring of that same year, they ran into each other at the MSU rodeo. Hailey and Garrett talked for a while at the rodeo, and two weeks later, he reached out to Hailey to ask her on a date. The date was the longest hike she had been on, possibly in her life, AND to add to the nerves of a first date, they heard a bear behind them on the trail! It turned out to be her last (second) first date ever. Now, Garrett and Hailey enjoy hiking, watching football, spending time with friends and family. They are both confident that God picked them for each other and are so excited to spend the rest of their lives doing what they love with the person they love the most!
