Ashley and Shaun had been planning to get married in Summer of 2020 in Canmore, Alberta. Like many couples, Covid restrictions put a hold on their plans and they decided to postpone the wedding until 2021. However, they knew they didn’t want to wait any longer to start their lives together. So, they dreamt up the idea of eloping in the beautiful Rocky Mountains with just their pastor, and saving the big party and vow renewal for a year later. They knew all they needed for a perfect day was the mountains, a lake, and each other – and that’s exactly what they did. On a beautiful Saturday in July, they drove out to the stunning Bow Lake in Banff National Park and read out their vows with the sound of crashing waves in the distance. After exchanging rings and officially becoming husband and wife, they drank champagne and danced the night away in wide open.
