Summer Gemstones to Complete your Bridal Look

Whether you’re recently engaged and planning a bridal shower or have a wedding in the upcoming months, finding the perfect accessories can be difficult! That’s why we’ve teamed up with Walters & Hogsett, a local Boulder jewelry shop, to share a few ways you can incorporate summer gemstones into your bridal looks!

June – Pearl

Pearls are a classic and timeless addition to any bridal look! Adorned for centuries before us, pearls were once believed to be the tears of God. While natural pearls are a rarity, cultured pearls have entered the marketplace making this classic gemstone affordable for nearly any budget.

Whether you wear your grandma’s set to your engagement party or a fresh pair to your rehearsal dinner, you can never go wrong with pearls. Showcased below is a stunning pair of earrings with a morganite and diamond stud with a detachable pearl and diamond drop in 18K rose gold. This look goes great with almost any wedding gown style, however, it really stands out when a bride wears her hair up! The pearl droplets are the perfect addition (simple, yet delicate) without taking away from the true star, the bride!

If you love the over-accessorized look, we recommend adding a pearl droplet necklace down the back of your gown for a va-va-voom effect!

July – Ruby

Ruby’s are a gorgeous gemstone to incorporate into your wedding day bridal look or any event leading up to the big day! Rubies are symbolic of the passion and energy associated with the color red, the vibrant ruby is said to bring love and success. Fitting for the start of the rest of your life with the love of your life, don’t you think?

What we love about accessorizing with the ruby gemstone is the bold color it adds to any look; it stands out when paired with white outfits! It’s the perfect pop of color especially if red is in your wedding palette.

Showcased below are “Double X Ruby and Diamond Dangle Earrings in 18K White Gold” paired with an “Emerald Cut Ruby and Diamond Halo Ring in 18K Yellow Gold.”

August – Peridot

The Peridot gemstone is widely recognized for its brilliant lime green glow making it a beautiful accessory for a summer soiree! We absolutely adore how Peridot ties in perfectly with any floral arrangement! It’s the perfect pop, but still subtle enough not to be overpowering to your look. Featured below is an “Oval Peridot and Diamond Halo Necklace in 18K Yellow Gold.”

We paired the peridot gemstone necklace with a matching set of earrings and a wedding ring! The gold fringe on the earrings adds a fun twist and would be a great selection if you’re a bubbly bride that loves to be the center of attention. The fringe will create a beautiful, yet subtle movement as you mingle with guests and glide through the party!

If you’re ready to style your next bridal look whether it’s your wedding day or engagement party, contact Walters & Hogsett to find the right gemstones for your look!

p.s. gents, these colorful gemstones make for the best gifts!
