Originally, this shoot was supposed to be pretty small. However, when we got to the drawing table, we wanted it to be so much more. I had the idea of shooting in East Rosebud and we knew that the arch and table would look incredible in the natural environment. We decided to team up with some local vendors for a timeless, rustic dream.
About 3 days prior to the shoot, the “groom” messaged me and asked if we would help him propose to his girlfriend during the styled shoot. Kristen, at Goldsmith Gallery, had been working with Justen and helped him pick out the most amazing ring.
Meggie, the “bride,” had no idea he was going to propose. She assumed I was posing her to look like she was leading him. At this time, Justen dropped to one knee.
The inspiration behind the colors changed a few times. We originally planned to have dark blues, golds, and oranges. However, the spring colors of the flowers allowed Cassie and me to be inspired to create a brand new direction.
