Chrissy + Brad
I’ve been “on the hunt” for my Prince Charming, my forever, true companion, soul mate, whatever you want to call him, basically since the day I could walk. Born and raised in Utah Valley, and as the youngest of 10 siblings, I watched 5 sisters choose 5 husbands, yet it took me 5 years to recognize mine.
I have always viewed marriage as a MIRACLE. It’s truly (mind bogglingly) amazing to me that any two people are willing and wanting to choose to be with just ONE person, at the same time/stage in life, for the rest of their lives, and (for those who believe) beyond this life! That may be the biggest reason why I didn’t marry until age 34. My parents dated on-and-off for four years before it was finally right for them to marry. My Mama always said, “If it’s right, time and distance won’t make a difference.” They have 10 children, 50 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and have been very happily married for over 50 years now! I held on to her statement all my life (for 34 years).
Our love story is a journey of 34 years, though we first met in 2015. We were set up on a blind date and had an instant connection! We dated exclusively for a couple of months, but the timing just wasn’t right for us then, so we parted ways and moved forward (pursuing other goals and dreams) with our lives, while continuing the “hunt,” for our spouses. Five years later we both realized that we couldn’t live without each other (the details of our love story on the blog). Bradford Woolley Hunt and I were married civilly at the Sundance Resort in Provo, Utah on 11.11. 2020 (this unique date was very important to us). As soon as COVID restrictions are lifted, we will be sealed as a married couple in the Provo, Utah Temple (Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints).
