The Denver Photo Betties is a group of talented photographers who passionately pursue growth in their field with things like; photography classes, opportunities to network, and building their business skills together.
Leading this summer’s workshop is Jennie Crate and Chelsea Spika. Some words from Jennie about this event; “We get a lot of requests from the photographers in our group for shooting events, and decided to do a wedding workshop/shoot where details, textures and all the components of a wedding day could be shot and explored by photographers. We brought on the talented Heidi from NuBlu Events to lead design and create this event. We were thrilled with the way this event came together!”
A few words from Heidi at NuBlu Events; “I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect Florist and Designer than Angela with Bella Lu Floral. It was a dream to create and design with her! Her mind is brilliant when it comes to designing the most perfect floral arrangements, choosing beautiful flowers, and even working with textures, styles, and overall experience. It was a dream to work with Angela, as well as all the vendors who made everything so perfect and rich in detail.”
We started with a lush and bright sorbet palette (the kind you want to eat up in the summer) and added in gorgeous textures like leather menus, beautiful stationery with leather lined envelopes from Emily Howell Calligraphy, large floral installation that the bride could move within, bright and bold candles and amazing food from All Love Catering. Each photographer had the chance to move within 5 stations where details of each part of the wedding day could be captured around the fabulous venue; Blanc. Eric with Skyline Productions also gave us some fabulous music to keep the party moving!
The workshop also hosted a talented group of wedding professionals to speak to specific areas of the industry. Hillary from Rocky Mountain Bride spoke about publications, being published and how to make each photographers work stand out. Angela from Bella Lu Floral spoke about flowers and the details of photographing floral pieces within a wedding day. Brooke Summer with Brooke Summer Photography spoke about SEO and the benefits of blogging.
