“Sam and I are high school sweethearts! Sophomore year I was the new girl at school and he had his eyes on me right away, I caught on very quickly, he’s very handsome! The summer before school started I met some friends through cheerleading practice. These ended up being mutual friends and somewhere down the line Sam saw my picture. Before even meeting me, he showed my photo to his mom and said, “I am going to date this girl!” The rest is history! We dated throughout high school and then both attended Boise State University. During finals week of our senior year, I was busy writing a paper for a class when Sam insisted I take a break and go out for happy hour with him. After much hesitation I agreed. We went up the back stairs of a restaurant to the rooftop, which was definitely closed, and it was there overlooking the city that Sam proposed! I was equally shocked and excited. I ran home and submitted my paper as it was and we went to celebrate with friends! Our wedding will be August 5th, 2023 in our hometown of Coeur d’Alene Idaho!”
