Something Blue Wedding Inspiration

Colorado Wedding Inspiration

Brides often wear or carry their “something blue,” but what if your Something Blue was the venue itself?? Colorado’s newest wedding venue is a buffalo ranch with a lovely barn the owners dubbed the Something Blue Barn. Oh, and you can have buffalo as guests at your wedding! Okay, they won’t be sitting in chairs, but they’re just 30 feet of the patio. Colorado Buffalo Adventures staff will even move them so they can be seen in the background during your ceremony along with a panoramic view of the mountains. (Imagine those photos! )Then, they can move them back near the patio so your guests will be able to see them and even take a selfie with them while they wait for your photos to be taken. There are also lawn games to keep guests entertained during cocktail hour. They won’t be checking their watches because they’ll be having so much fun!

You can check also your something old off your list at Colorado Buffalo Adventures if you choose to use their exquisite collection of mismatched vintage china for your reception. The photos in this shoot highlight how beautiful it will look on your tables.

Back to the Something Blue Barn… Inside, repurposed corrugated metal and wood planks line the walls lending depth and texture to the look. Forget stained concrete; historic wood plank floors brought in from Oklahoma create a 1800s saloon-style floor. This isn’t a dank space as is sometimes the case with a barn. Two walls are replete with windows and glass patio doors that bring in plenty of light and offer generous views of the buffalo and the mountains. Your photog will love it!

In addition to providing a unique Colorado buffalo ranch experience, Colorado Buffalo Adventures offers catering that includes their own grass-fed meats for a true farm to table experience. If you want to live entertainment, they can provide you with options topping off the experience with a professionally designed concert-quality sound system that is unmatched at any other local wedding venue. In keeping with the boutique feel, the owners procured many antique and vintage pieces from across the country, giving you a wide array of design options for your ceremony and reception.

In keeping with the distinctive upscale vintage vibe, both bridal party prep rooms, the barn and even the hallway feature lighting designed and built by the owner, Teresa Fischer. Using vintage objects such as an old ladder and an old fencepost she pulled from the ground, Fischer added another element exclusivity to the overall boutique design. This venue is a home run for foodies, animal/nature lovers and adventurous souls who wish to create lifelong memories for everyone in attendance.

As with every other aspect of the ranch, the Fischers remain true to their core value of customization when it comes to pricing. They tailor the pricing based upon each client’s vision. Prices begin at $130 per person with an 80 person minimum. Happy trails!
