A warm sunny snowy day in Canmore, AB this magical wedding took place at the Silvertip Resort. The mountain views in the distance were the ceremony backdrop. The mountains were only upstaged by the bride and her amazing Millanova gown and the Red Serge RCMP uniform of the Groom. A Manitoba/Ontario couple that fell in love and moved to the mountains tried to bring as much of home with them by using any Winnipeg/Manitoba wedding vendors or details possible. Some fellow RCMP friends were invited to be part of the ceremony and added some amazing contrasting colours to the blues of the mountain in the background. After the couple was announced for the very first time they ran down the aisle lined with the RCMP officers who stopped them at the end for a kiss. We went a short way to Banff The Bride’s grandpa worked for HBC (Hudson Bay Company) in the 50s in northern MB and met her Grandma in Oxford house which ended up being where the groom worked when they met! We went to the town of Banff and made a special stop in front of the HBC store to acknowledge the family roots. It’s also why the scarves were all made by HBC because it’s close to their heart. The reception took place at the gorgeous rustic Cornerstone Theatre. The walls and ceiling were constructed from barn wood sourced from Manitoba as well!
