Kylie + Alex
Our very first trip together was to the majestic Rocky Mountains. So when we got engaged, we knew we wanted to travel back to the place we loved to exchange our vows in a private elopement. We live out of state and needed to find a location that would be able to help us from afar, during a pandemic, on a small scale. La Joya Dulce was very accommodating, offering peaceful, natural mountain views as we were surrounded by only our closest family and friends. Although they often accommodate larger parties, they made the entire space available to just the handful of people we chose to make the trip. The rustic barn was perfect for touchups and adjustments before walking out to the cliffside ceremony. The snow-capped peaks glistened in the distance in a full 360 view, despite it being a comfortable fifty degrees outside in April. As we finished our vows, a herd of elk descended from the mountain tops, adding to some bugling to our perfect day. As classic car enthusiasts, Daisy complemented our day and made a unique and special addition to our wedding photos. We look back on that day, the pictures, and the promises we made knowing that we picked the perfect setting with La Joya Dulce, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
