Six Acres Cafe Downtown Vancouver Engagement

British Columbia Engagement

The Couple

Tara + Petros

The Rocky Mountains have some of the most beautiful places in the world (we might be a bit biased), but Petros + Tara’s downtown engagement photos at Six Acres Cafe bring a change of scenery and are beautifully captured by C&Y Photography.

The Engagement

Tara and Petros met at university 10 years ago in Toronto. Petros began planning his proposal in June 2019.  He was going to ask Tara in the style of the Amazing Race. Petros’ inspiring scavenger hunt and clues were personal and thoughtful, he took Tara from their house in downtown Vancouver through various locations within walking distance. The final spot was a romantic part of Second Beach. Most importantly, Petros’ proposal involved their entire community, with over 30 friends help formulate the clues and hints. Their entire immediate families helped craft the final surprise in Stanley Park.

For their engagement session, we asked them if they wanted to do in downtown Vancouver and they were totally in! We loved the change of scenery as much as we love the wild landscapes in lower mainland of British Columbia. We met at Six Acres Café for breakfast and champagne. What a fun way to start our photoshoot!  After breakfast, we headed to Blood Alley to continue our day. Gastown is a great location due to their red brick walls, which brings an urban vibe to the pictures. This day was just perfect and they proved the definition of love and happiness. We were so happy to have the opportunity to capture those unique moments between them, and can’t wait to see them again.
