Julian + Korie
Julian and I met January 2018 through a mutual friend while climbing. In the summer of 2018 we climbed, camped, and started dating in by Fall of 2020. Spring of 2019 we went on a week long road trip to the Grand Canyon and Zion. Our love grew stronger that week and we both realized we would marry some day. Julian proposed July of 2020 and with covid threatening we decided have a small elopement the same year.
As a nurse, along with my active lifestyle rock climbing I am unable to wear a ring so we decided to have a pendant made to represent our unity. It is a custom piece made by
Alexis Pavlantos. My dress is from
David’s Bridal. The earrings are by Shinedesignandshop on Etsy, my bouquet is from
Flowers & Things in Rio Rancho and my barrettes are from
Boite Laque Jewelry. Julian is wearing a
John Varvatos suit,
Base London shoes, a
Stetson stratoliner fedora , and a bolo tie that was passed down from his grandfather. My grandfather James McAfee made his wedding ring.
We continue to climb and camp with our time off. Currently we have begun our plans to build a camper van to accommodate for our adventurous lifestyle with our dogs.
