Laura Osborn/Rocky Mountain Bride

Colorado Wedding

Little did they know, Facebook would lead to the beginning of an adventurous and amazing love story.

In 2012, Shane received a friend request form Ali, not giving any thought about why or who she was, both Ali and Shane went about their separate lives. A few months later, Shane ran across Ali's profile, intrigued, he messaged her and asked "Do we know each other?". Ali responded, "no, but looks like we have a ton of friends in common" and that is where the conversations started. They continued to chat, discovering they had many things in common from where they wanted to end up (Denver), music, sports, and so on.

After a few months of chatting, Ali was heading back to Albuquerque (where Shane lived) for her high school reunion and she suggested the two meet up. That Thursday night, when she got in, she invited Shane to meet up at Dirty Bourbon, a local bar. When she arrived, there he was, tall, handsome, a smile that lit up the room, as she puts it "he is beautiful"! Ali and Shane partied the night away, chatting for hours. When it was finally time to say good night...they hugged and went their separate ways. Although it was the end of the night, it was just the beginning of their journey.
