The ceremony took place on Idaho Rocky Mountain Ranch’s front lawn, the Sawtooth mountains in the distance creating a backdrop that looked as if we stepped into an actual painting. One of my favorite parts of this wedding weekend was during the ceremony, just before the bride and groom exchanged vows, Kathy surprised Steve by having his sister and sister-in-law sing. They made a mash-up of Elton John’s “your song” and the Lumineers “Hey Ho”. It was the most beautiful rendition I have ever heard and their voices brought everyone to tears, especially Steve.

First Look Story
In their 1st year of dating, Kathy and Steve took a trip to Stanley, Idaho and discovered an old, wooden swing bench that faces the breathtaking Sawtooth mountain range. They loved this spot and it quickly became “theirs”. While swinging there together that summer day, Kathy mentioned to Steve, “Wouldn’t it be awesome if we took a photo sitting on this bench every year until we were old and grey?” Well, the next year came and they went back to this very spot and as they set their camera in the same way they did a year prior, Steve said to Kathy, “So I’ve been thinking about how you mentioned getting a photo here every year until we turn old and grey… “he then got down on his knee and proposed. A year later, on September 14th 2019 they returned again to this spot, only this time in a sharp-looking navy suit and a beautiful white dress! This is where they did their 1st look!
