The Wedding
“Ben and Alli met at a music festival in January of 2014 and their relationship blossomed through a shared interest in music and travel. Alli was living on the West Coast and Ben was on the East Coast. The mutual attraction powered them through 10 months of long distance, at which point Alli moved back home to Denver and Ben moved there to be with her. Shortly after, they both became flight attendants with United Airlines, now sharing their love of travel even more together! Fast forward to the summer of 2020, Ben proposed in one of their favorite parks with the notion that they’d be having some “family photos” taken with their new puppy, Clover (and older pup, Claude, too). Alli, of course, said yes and was so excited to see the ring made from a pear-shaped diamond of her great-grandmother’s and designed by Lex Atencio of John Atencio Jewelers! In the years following, they enjoyed a longer engagement and spread out the planning process which made it less stressful and allowed more focus on smaller details! Great music was a top requirement for their wedding, and they had a blast fine-tuning their song choices throughout the year, often listening to their playlists together on road trips or car rides to and from the airport. Delicious food was also another priority and they were so happy with Three Leaf Catering in coordinating both their rehearsal dinner at the Italian restaurant Zucca in Louisville and tasty appetizers and BBQ dinner buffet for their reception! Alli knew she wanted Ben in a blue suit (blue is his color) and she loves the blue and white French-style floral, so wanted to incorporate that into their colors and design. Ben used his woodworking skills to create menu holders and an oversized Jenga set for their cocktail hour. Alli had fun creating their A+B logo for a neon sign, as well as adding personal touches to Ben’s woodworking with their logo as a heat stamp! They also wanted to be sure to have some details incorporating their love for their careers, so their table names and seating chart include places around the world that they have visited together! Combining the Lyons Farmette’s woods, blues, and garden aesthetic with Plume & Furrow flowers grown on-site and Tyler.Paige Photography’s artistic touch (among many other vendors), it made out to be a beautiful combination of everything Ben and Alli wanted for their Big Day! Most of all, they are so grateful to their family and friends who traveled from near and far, these people made their day so magical and one that they will never forget!”
