The Couple

Jason + Kincaid

Jason and Kincaid traveled out to Taos for their elopement with only 8 days notice. Like so many couples last year, their wedding plans were derailed because of the pandemic. Jason had been to Taos before and remembered it fondly, so he told Kincaid about this special place and they decided to road trip from Los Angeles, California. I met them at the Rio Grande Gorge Rest Area and we hiked along the West Rim Trail to find this gorgeous overlook to say their vows. Dan was an incredible officiant and many tears were shed throughout the beautiful, fun ceremony. After saying their vows, they signed the papers, I even signed as one witness, and a passing stranger signed as the other. This elopement was casual, yet incredibly meaningful. We said bye to Dan after the ceremony and decided to explore for the next hour until the light was gone. Jason and Kincaid brought along a bottle of champagne, which they popped in the golden hour light. We stayed out on the trail exploring the desert until the sunset.
