Aleah + Tyler
“Our wedding day was so full of joy from start to finish. It truly was even more beautiful than we could have ever imagined. The wedding planning road to get to this day was a bit rocky. We got engaged on a beach in Portugal in 2018 and began our wedding planning journey in 2019 when news of a new virus emerged (we all know the one). This is something that would have been not so easily navigated without the support of our incredible vendors. Robyn with Dream Big Okanagan, was truly a ray of light for us through all of the uncertainty. Robyn and the rest of the team rolled with us and encouraged us as our day strayed from a traditional wedding and became more and more a reflection of our love. They helped us plan and then re plan our wedding day until it could actually happen. All of our other vendors were so supportive of us through it all, despite the fact that they were also navigating the stress of the unknown. We truly could not be more grateful for all of these people we had in our corner. When our day finally happened after all that waiting, it felt even sweeter to be able to celebrate our love with all of our favorite beings. We stood in front of our loved ones, surrounded by the beautiful Linden Gardens and promised forever. All of the tears and laughs continued into the cocktail hour as we sipped drinks, ate appy’s, listened to speeches by our favorite people, and danced under the trees with the sunshine raining down on us. We then went on a little date with our favorite tagalongs (the beyond talented Iannone Photography and Menze Visuals) to pick up a lottery ticket. Spoiler, we won the lottery that day, just not the one that made us rich. We made a pit stop at A&W and walked through the drive through, and shared fries and a float. Then we met up with our guests at our favourite beach for a picnic. We ate pizza, drank beer, played games and had the best time. We finished the night sitting in the sand, laughing and feeling overwhelmed by all of the love. I could not have envisioned a wedding that felt more like us. It was relaxed, and beautifully simple. It was the perfect start to our forever.”
