I don’t know if I can imagine a more incredible location for a wedding than next to the Colorado River in the Moab desert. Everything about this wedding was FUN – from the dino costume first look to the absolutely phenomenal choreographed first dance that had the whole crowd both in awe and laughing. Brides, in all of the planning and carrying out the day, make sure you have fun and enjoy yourself! It was so evident from the constant smile on Ami and Alex’s faces that they were enjoying every minute of their day and letting that Moab breeze carry away anything else that didn’t matter. As a Moab local, I knew that the perfect place to take their photos and we were able to sneak away for a bit just as the sun was setting and lighting up those gorgeous red rock towers in a fabulous sun-show of red and orange. The Moab desert is the perfect place for the bride who doesn’t want a more colorful red desert instead of the neutral palette. It’s the perfect place for adventurous souls and wild love – a little wind, vibrant flowers that pop up in seemingly impossible locations, towering cliffs and massive rivers. And guests can enjoy the two national parks right next door. Because it is so vast, it’s great to hire a local photographer with area knowledge who can help you find the perfect location for you. As a former park ranger, I can do just that.
