Tucked away along New Mexico’s turquoise trail in the foothills of Placer Mountain sits the majestic Rancho De Chavez. This working buffalo ranch’s main hacienda combines the natural beauty of the southwest with the architect of historic Spain. It was the perfect setting for our inspirational shoot that added a bit of luxury to today’s popular bohemian style.
As a photographer, I am in love with color and light. Our Boho luxe shoot was designed around the vintage lace dress you see Sam wearing. Keeping in mind the rich ivory of the dress we paired it with the coppery hues of the hacienda and bold florals to create a palette that stood out beautifully against the high desert backdrop without taking away from it.
We knew we had to take advantage of the Ranch’s 360-degree views so the ceremony was set under a wooden triangle arch that framed the Sandia mountains in the background. Nature stepped in with perfect timing and gave us one of the most amazing cloud displays I have ever seen.
