“Shelby and Kiefer’s wedding planning process started with a beautiful English Rose-inspired color palette and bloomed into a beautiful, flower-abundant wedding celebration in one of their favorite vacation destinations, Vail, Colorado. The number of intentional details Shelby and Kiefer put into their day made for a really fun experience for guests, where every corner they turned around, they were greeted with another unexpected detail. From Shelby, “I envisioned a mountaintop soirée where every single detail was well-thought out. I wanted lots of flowers & an amazing band- which we definitely accomplished! I wanted it to be a day we’d never forget, had zero regrets & all of our guests to come away from our day saying it was one of the best weddings they’d ever been to!” Layers of Lovely definitely delivered a beautiful and abundance of flowers to make Shelby and Kiefer’s wedding day dreams come true. From Shelby, “She brought in blueberry stems and these gorgeous copper leaves to offset all of the subtle pink, peach & cream tones. The floral alter & wreath above the dance floor were definitely the floral statements I dreamed of!” When it came to finding the perfect wedding dress for Shelby, she went into the process thinking she wanted an A-Line silhouette vs. a fitted dress. Shelby says, “After trying on this style over & over and being petite, I began to realize it felt like the dresses were wearing me vs. me wearing them.” Her dream dress was the Morgan gown by Wona Concept. “I felt grown-up in it. I loved the deep v-neckline, illusion deep v back, cap sleeve, fit & flare silhouette & long train. Not to mention all of the cross-hatch detailing, sparkle, & floral applique. It ended up being the perfect gown.” Kiefer’s velvet jacket was another beautiful and unexpected detail, and guests loved that velvet popped up throughout the reception from the linens to the napkins. Intricate Icings prepared Shelby and Kiefer’s dream cake design. From Shelby, “I loved the we ended up incorporating the monogram we included on the invitations as well- it made the cake truly ours! The flavors were also unique (& amazing): chocolate whiskey, zucchini lime & raspberry almond.” Shelby also surprised her groom with a grooms cake of his Jeep SRT and their three dogs. Rachael with Intricate Icings absolutely nailed the grooms cake, and it was definitely a show-stopping wedding element that guests talked about all evening. Shelby and Kiefer’s wedding band, Mannequin, kept guests on the dance floor all evening. One of the things that Shelby and Kiefer intentionally planned was a quiet and private dance just the two of them at the very end of the reception, while Grace & Gather Events’ team lined up guests for the send-off. This was such a beautiful and special moment that Shelby and Kiefer got to focus on one another and bask in the energy of their entire wedding day.”
