Brian and I are two New Yorkers who, 3 years ago, decided to go on an adventure and move to Colorado. From the second we drove through the mountains, we knew that this was our home. A year and a half later, while we were snowshoeing in the Colorado Rockies, Brian got down on one knee and proposed over a frozen lake. We both decided that we wanted to get married in Colorado to show off this beautiful state to all of their friends and family back East. We looked at a few venues but none showed off the mountains quite like North Star Gatherings did. The day of our wedding started off rainy and, because of forest fires, the mountains were covered in haze. Even though we wanted the mountain view for all of our guests to see, we knew the wedding day was about our love, getting married and celebrating with all of our friends and family. To our surprise right as the wedding was about to begin, the rain stopped, the sky cleared, and the haze moved away from the mountains; the mountain view was the clearest it had been in weeks. We were able to get married in one of the most incredible states with a view that our guests were in awe over. September 3rd was truly the most amazing day of our lives and a day that we will never forget.
