Suzannah and Kelly were married in McCall, Idaho on June 3rd. There are many small touches to the wedding that make it a great one for publication! Suzannah’s older sister and her are very close (their parents are not in the picture). The older sister, Rebekah, did all of the florals, design, and was the backbone of the day. Rebekah made hand stitched hankies for all the bridesmaids, hand sewn custom robes, did all the signs and calligraphy, and as I mentioned above, she did all the florals. There were so many small details and personal touches that made this mountain wedding dreamy.
Their proposal story as told by the bride
Last summer, on a beautiful evening we decided to take our dog on a bike ride and grab some dinner at one of our favorite spots. On our way home, I mentioned how big and beautiful the moon was that night. I had stopped for a moment to take it all in as Kelly rode slightly ahead. Once I caught back up to him he had stopped next to a little bridge that extended over the running canal. As I approached, he informed me that our sweet little dog was limping and might have something in his paw. Concerned, I offered the light of my phone to see what was the matter. Kelly was bent over examining our puppy’s paw as I shined the light to see what was hurting him. Instead of seeing a hurt paw I saw a beautiful diamond sparkling back at me. Before I knew what was happening Kelly was on one knee with a ring in his hand. He said “Will you make me the happiest man in the world and make me proud by becoming my wife?” Surprised and still in shock that this was happening I forgot to speak. The only words I could find were “Of course, Yes!” As we stood under the beautiful super moon in the hot summer air I couldn’t help but think how incredibly perfect and special this moment was. I couldn’t have asked for a more perfect moment to be asked to marry the love of my life.
