The Wedding
I was looking for a whimsical/enchanted forest vibe when it came to our wedding. I wanted a lot of green and moody tones. Christian and I love Halloween and ‘spooky’ vibes. We chose our wedding date because it was on Friday the 13th and was a full moon. Our bridesmaids were in wine colored dresses and the groomsmen had matching colored ties. We chose the Sequoias wedding venue because it definitely gave us the whimsical vibe we were looking for. It was so green and there are so many fun hidden adventures there. From the hidden treehouse, to the ‘Secret Garden’ where Christian and I were able to have a private dinner together between the ceremony and reception. What initially caught my eye with the venue was the willow tree in front of the lake. I could just picture flowers being strung from the willow tree and having our ceremony in front of it, which our florist did beautifully. She also did incredible with our centerpieces for the reception. There were greens as well as gold votives and candle sticks. It kind of gave a Victorian look and was absolutely perfect to what I envisioned. Our wedding felt like a mix of fairytale stories.
