My husband and I are high school sweethearts, born + raised in the Midwest but have always dreamt of getting married in the Rocky Mountains. So as soon as he popped the question, I began my search of the perfect spot in the mountains to say our vows. My search lead me to Montana, which is one of the only states where you can have an outdoor Catholic ceremony. From there I somehow landed on the venue of my dreams – White Raven Wedding and Event Center outside of Missoula, Montana. As soon as I saw their ceremony mountain views, outdoor reception area, and modern-mountain charm I was sold. It still feels like a wild daydream that came to life, all because of all of the amazing vendors that made our vision come to life. Planning a destination wedding from states away was challenging enough, but once COVID hit it seemed like our dream of mountain nuptials wasn’t going to be possible. After months of debate, we decided to change our plans and have a microwedding with just our immediate family and bridal party instead. We were somehow able to pull off a safe and fun celebration, with the help of our vendors and the support of our family. We are so grateful we were able to introduce them to one of our favorite spots nestled in the Rocky Mountains.
