The Elopement

“Lynn and Zach got married among the majestic mountains of Glacier National Park. From hiking through the mountains to their ceremony at Lake Victoria the entire day was absolutely breathtaking. Lynn and Zach planned a special wedding day with their closest family and friends to celebrate their marriage. We spent the morning hiking in the mountains and through the tall lush green trees, the park’s beauty washing over us. Their videographer, Jimmy Tran, and I were terrified that the day was ruined as we drove through THICK fog that covered the mountains. We weren’t able to see anything for over an hour as we slowly drove through the park. Just when I was starting to believe the fog would never end we turned a corner and clear skies finally found us. The sky had opened up and the mountains were so vibrant as the thick fog moved aside and the sun shone through, creating a beautiful picturesque moment that was definitely worth all the walking and worrying. One of my favorite parts of the day was Lynn’s outfits. She specifically bought 2 different wedding dresses to surprise everyone with at the ceremony. Her first dress was poofy and flowy from the online boutique, Lulu’s, and we used it for portraits and hiking in case it got rained on or muddy. She wanted to make sure she had the freedom to hike and run through the mountains without a hindrance from her dress. But her second wedding dress she changed into right before the ceremony to wow everyone, including Zach. It was a fitted fit and flare style with a beautiful, long train designed by designer Hayley Paige. Every inch was a mix of intricate beadwork and lace that sparkled in the sun as she walked down the aisle. They held their private, intimate ceremony on Lake Victoria where all of the guests stood waiting for Lynn to walk down the path with her dad. They said “I do” looking out over the water. After the ceremony, Zach and Lynn shared a first dance as the sun set behind the mountains and I will never forget that breathtaking moment. I looked around to see all of their family and friends smiling at the couple they grew up with, whom they’d watched their long journey to find each other. Their day was finally hear, beneath the majestic mountains of Glacier. Glacier National Park is absolutely breathtaking. The tiny two-lane highway weaving in and out of the mountains and the deep blue waters of the lakes nestled between was absolutely unreal. When Lynn and Zach asked me to photograph their elopement here I could not have been more thrilled. This place has been a dream of mine to visit for years and it didn’t disappoint.”
