Kalli + Tyler
I graduated high school in 2018 in Arizona. I moved to Utah where we both lived in Provo, Utah but had no mutual friends so we would have no way to meet. Tyler and I had matched on Mutual the dating app. I was stubborn and refused to go on a date or hangout with him since I wanted to date around and hangout with friends and live life after high school. We talked over social media for a few weeks then finally decided we would meet each other. One night, he and his friends came over and we played games and made cookies with my roommates. My roommates thought Ty was the cutest of all of them and I claimed I called him first. After that night we talked a few times a week, then I started dating around and we both went on with our lives. Many things started bringing us back together and Tyler was somehow always there when things went bad with life. He’d drop by gifts and flowers at my door if I had a bad day at work or had issues with friends or family. He talked to me in the parking garage of my apartment for hours sometimes. I had no idea why he stuck around because it took me so long to realize that I should give him a chance, even though I had the biggest crush on him. We went on our first date to a Jazz game and we hung out every night after that. He asked me to be his girlfriend a few months in. It did take him a while to kiss me which really upset me because I’ve never had someone wait so long but it made him more attractive to me. He treated me so well and was patient with me since I wanted to date for at least a year. We finally got engaged and were married in September of 2019. We couldn’t be happier or more in love!
