Savannah + Jason
This couple exudes happiness and love for each other during their Teton Pass engagement with Peter Lobozzo Photography. Savannah + Jason are in the midst of planning their wedding in August of 2021 at Diamond Cross Ranch!
Jason and I started out as coworkers in the spring of 2013. A few months later, our chemistry became the elephant in the room…or office if you will. I am Mom to a little boy and Jason is Dad to two boys. Our three children bonded so easily from the beginning. Watching them blend and grow over the years has brought us so much life.
Fast forward seven years…everyone is still busy growing! Although we call New Orleans home, we decided to skip the Mardi Gras festivities this year and hit the mountains for some skiing. So on Fat Tuesday instead of catching coconuts and beads, we opted for a quiet morning brunch in Breckenridge. Jason suggested an afternoon date, which is not out of the usual, he is a romantic dude. I should have known something was up as I watched him change his shirt five times.
A few hours later, I was being pulled in an open sleigh by the most gorgeous black percheron horse, Ashley, but little did I know Ashley and Jason had big plans. As she pulled over for photo op near Golden Horseshoe, Jason revealed a stunning sapphire ring and proposed. I said YES! (Well maybe “shut up” first, and “yes” second.) Ashley broke out the champagne, chocolates, and a bouquet of flowers that were hidden in her sleigh. She really loves her job! And I really love my unique ring.
We love travel + adventure and knew from the beginning we didn’t want a traditional, southern New Orleans wedding. During the spring’s quarantine, we stumbled across Diamond Cross Ranch online. Maybe it was the result of being cooped up too long, but we booked a wedding at a venue we had never seen, in a town we had never visited. In June, we were able to visit Jackson Hole which is our new heaven on earth. We also found Peter Lobozzo, who captured our new excitement so perfectly. Jackson Hole and The Grand Tetons are places everyone should see in their lifetime and we are thrilled to share this spot with our family and friends.
