It was the perfect weekend. Just laid back enough with guests staying in cabins on the lakefront and just glamorous enough to not forget to pack your favorite cocktail attire! A full wedding weekend affair. Guests from all overdrove and flew into the Okanagan and checked into their cabins at Ponderosa Point in Kaleden, BC. That evening they congregated to the beach and tented area where there was a catered BBQ, kegs of local beer, and a buzzing joy for the wedding day to come. Alex got ready at their home blocks away from the Naramata Bench, where Craig had surprised her and hid a bottle of Dom Perignon for her and her girls to pop while they got ready. Craig got ready with his twin best man and groomsmen at the cabins on the water while the day began to unfold. Their ceremony was on the point, with the best view of the lake. After the ceremony ended, guests were just a few steps away from Moscow mules, a live acoustic guitarist, and lounging while the bridal party took photos. The reception took place under a beautiful tent that was designed to fit within the rustic and breathtaking scenery. A plated dinner was served, toasts were made, and the partying began. And it just kept getting better. Jeffer’s Fries, a local food truck arrived to serve late-night poutine. Guests were also sent back to their cabins with Gatorade and bottled water. And in the morning, before they all went home there was a breakfast with the finest McDonald’s egg McMuffins, orange juice, and a quick goodbye from the newlyweds.
