New Mexico Wedding Inspiration
We originally met Candace and Brian at a shoot that we all collaborated on for RMB. Candace is an event planner in Albuquerque, so we were really excited to work with her. They ended up engaged the morning of the shoot & we knew that we wanted to be part of their engagements.
We picked a date right smack in the middle of wedding season & made it happen. La Mesita Ranch Estates was the perfect location for this newly engaged couple. The mix of this beautiful equestrian ranch with desert views did not disappoint. We fell in love with the way that everything came together. We are excited for these two to seal the deal for real, later this year with their family and closest friends.

The Couple's Love Story
The love story of Brian and I began unexpectedly in April 2017... we both met up with mutual friends at a local brewery in town and sat across from one another. I still (to this day) can remember all the details - his sweet smile, the way he laughed - and just thinking there's something very different about this guy (in a good way) and the same for him. Within a few weeks of texts, calls & a few meetings in between- sadly I had to break the news to Brian that I was moving to Montana for a new job opportunity. He told me later on what a shock this was. We didn't know what to expect at that point... and, within a month of being gone - we decided it was time for him to come up and visit. When he got off that plane - I knew- we both knew, we had found something very special. We took our time and toured Yellowstone and discovered some amazing sights like Wade lake- that's when we knew we were falling in love.
After many months of long distance, we decided it was time for me to come back to ABQ and make us official. We knew how much we loved each other and didn't want to be apart any longer.
We had checked into El Monte Sagrado in Taos- because we were working on a styled shoot for Rocky Mountain Bride. After having an amazing dinner with friends - we were just relaxing the two of us and he asked to pray with me. In that prayer, he eluded to us spending the rest of our lives together. When I opened my eyes - he presented the ring box and of course, I was tearing up. I was so surprised in every way... It was intimate and done in a way that melted my heart.
