On February 1st and 2nd, The Bridal Collection hosted the Justin Alexander Trunk Show where brides-to-be were some of the first to see and try on the Fall 2019 Collection. Justin and his Creative Director, Terri, also graced the store and excited brides-to-be with their presence, assisting them during their experience.

What is your design process like?
Our design team consists of several immensely talented designers who work together to create seasonal collections for each of our 5 brands: Justin Alexander, Justin Alexander Signature, Sincerity Bridal, Lillian West, and Sweetheart Gowns. Inspiration comes from the world around us. For some, it’s everything from a museum to a flea market, and of course from brides themselves. Each season we kick off the new collection design with a meeting to share our inspiration, fashion trends, in-store experiences from the year, new materials, and more. We decide on several themes into which we will then design each collection.
What’s the most important thing about designing a wedding dress?
The most important thing about designing a wedding dress is how the bride feels when wearing it. Every bride, regardless of her size, should feel beautiful on her wedding day.
Who would you say the Justin Alexander bride is?
The Justin Alexander bride is elegant and timeless. She is confident, glamorous and knows what she wants. Our collection has wedding dresses for every body type, every personality and every style. So if you’re looking for a plus size wedding dress, a beaded wedding dress, a wedding dress to accentuate your curves, or a clean and simple wedding dress to accent with striking accessories, we have something for you.
What is the inspiration behind your new collection?
The Justin Alexander Fall/Winter 2019 collection showcases our iconic approach to classic romance, impeccable finishing and superior fabrication. This season’s highlights include preppy looks, new clean (modern) styles, plunge necklines, refreshing laces and beading that enhances the silhouettes.
Which dress is your favorite from the new collection and why?
Style 88074 is my favorite dress from the collection. It is fresh and elegant. The perfect style for any bride.
What is one bridal fashion risk you would recommend to brides?
Be open. Listen to your bridal consultant. Try on a range of silhouettes and styles. Brides-to-be have a vision of what they want, but you would be surprised to learn that many brides end up choosing something they never thought they would.
