About the Wedding
From the Bride
What was one of your favorite details?
Our dogs, Jade and Rowdy, were a part of our wedding cocktail hour. We walked around the park together with our dogs on our first date, so it only felt right to include them on our special day!
Why did you choose to get married where you did?
We were camping near Mt. Princeton when Geoff asked me to be his girlfriend (after two weeks of dating), and we witnessed a wedding there the next morning. It is such a pretty spot!
Where did you find your inspiration?
Geoff and I are both mountain-loving people who adore the outdoors, so from the start, we knew we wanted a mountain wedding with breathtaking views. I also wanted the overall wedding vibe to be romantic, peaceful and a bit rustic. Our ceremony was outside and featured a wooden arch overflowing with beautiful flowers and greenery, and the end chairs had mason jars with fresh flowers hung on them. Our reception took place in the Pavilion, which offered floor-to-ceiling windows so people could take in the scenery even if it got a bit chilly. Our sweetheart table and the guests' tables were all set up with slightly different decor; there was babies breath, South African Protea flowers, twigs, and floating candles in clear vases. To top it all off, we had an Aspen-inspired wedding cake with our initials ‘carved' into it. It definitely fit in well with the whole theme!
