Jackson Hole is one of the world’s most stunning and romantic locations. There’s something about the towering Teton mountains, wide-open meadows filled with wildlife, and an abundance of epic activities to enjoy with your fiancé.

We’ve curated a bucket list filled with romantic, daring, relaxing, and one-of-a-kind experiences to enjoy on your visit to Wyoming with your fiancé!

1. Watch the Sunrise

Whether you opt for sunrise or sunset on one of the stunning lakes located within Grand Teton National Park, you’ll have the rare opportunity to enjoy some of the best views in the park without crowds of people. When most have left and the ripples of a busy day on the lake settle, something magical appears. A hike along Jenny Lake allows the perfect opportunity to enjoy a romantic moment in solitude with your fiancé.

2. Go Wine Tasting at Jackson Hole Winery

Enjoy a wine tasting with a front-row view of the Teton Range at one of the highest wineries in North America! Sitting at just over 6,200 feet of elevation, the Jackson Hole Winery is the ideal location for a romantic outing in Jackson Hole.

3. Bike the Pathways

If you visit Jackson Hole, you can’t miss the miles of paved bike paths that follow the road at the foot of the Tetons. Biking this stretch of trail is relatively easy and accessible for all bikers. If deciding to spend your romantic getaway in Jackson at Snow King Resort, you can rent bikes directly from the lodge.

4. Go Whitewater Rafting

If you’re seeking a bit of adventure, there are plenty of incredible things to do in Jackson Hole! One of the most popular activities is whitewater rafting on the Snake River. Grab your fiancé and hit the water to maneuver your way through class 2 and 3 rapids with a professional guide.

5. Explore Downtown Jackson & Grab a Drink at The Rose

If you’re into craft cocktails, The Rose is an upscale speakeasy located inside the Pink Garter Theater near downtown Jackson. Each drink is hand-crafted and made with local ingredients, making the perfect cocktails for you and your fiancé to enjoy together. The best part? Its hidden location makes it much less busy than many other parts of downtown Jackson! After your cocktail, take a stroll around downtown Jackson.

6. Take a Wildlife Tour

Jackson Hole is famous for the abundance of wildlife that roams the valley. Moose, grizzly bears, black bears, coyotes, wolves, foxes, and more all call the unique ecosystem around Jackson Hole home. It can be hit or miss if you decide to go wildlife hunting on your own, but a wildlife tour with a local expert is one of the best ways to see wildlife around the area. If looking to make the experience a little more romantic, opt for a private wildlife tour for just the two of you!

7. Go to The Rodeo

Can you say you visited the wild west without attending a rodeo? The Jackson Hole rodeo takes place every Wednesday and Saturday at 8pm from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Strap on your cowboy boots and cowboy hat and prepare for a show of a lifetime with the love of your life!

8. Enjoy a Powder Day at Jackson Hole Resort

Summer is a popular time to visit Jackson Hole, but winter offers the rare opportunity to ski at one of the most renowned resorts in the country. Even if you first experience Jackson Hole in the summer, a great anniversary trip is to return in January or February during the peak months for skiing!

9. Take a Hike

Grand Teton National Parks offers hiking options for every kind of hiker. Those looking for a flat and easy hike can opt to explore the hiking trails around Leigh Lake, with the longest loop option coming in just under seven miles. If looking for a little more adventure, the Paintbrush Loop Trail is an epic hike in terms of both scenery and elevation. The 19.7-mile loop trail gains a total of 3,975 feet in the high canyons of the Teton Mountains. Most opt to complete this hike as a multi-day grand backpacking adventure. Be sure to carry bear spray on all hikes!

10. Book a Private Horseback Riding Experience

Wyoming is ranch country and if you’re looking to see a more local side of the area, book a private horseback riding tour for you and your fiancé. There are numerous ranches in Jackson Hole that offer this experience, such as Spring Creek Ranch. Most offer options between one and two-hour rides for couples. Or, if you want to make it a bit more budget-friendly, opt to join in on a group tour. Either way, horseback riding in at the base of the Tetons is a once-in-a-lifetime experience!
