Six years ago, we met on an airplane going to Denver. We sat beside each other on the flight and happened to be going to Steamboat Springs for the same music fest. We both lived in Austin, Texas, so soon after we got back home we decided to meet up on our first date. We were then inseparable. We love Steamboat Springs and travel back every year for the Texas Country Music Fest. We have met so many great friends and have enjoyed going back so we decided we wanted to get married there with all our closest friends and family.
We wanted an intimate wedding where we could be around the people we love the most. Judd and I are both from farm/ranches so we wanted to incorporate a little piece of that into our big day. The beautiful black horse, the grand entrance with my dad and I, and the horse and sleigh ride for our guests made for an absolute dream. I chose our venue because of the coziness and country feel. I wanted to add a touch of elegance and intimacy with the use of florals and candlelight. Our florist connected to my vision and made it come to life! We ended the night with the most magical lantern send-off. The entire day was magical.
Favorite moments: After the ceremony looking out into the sunset as a married couple. It was so beautiful with the snow, mountains, and the horse and sleigh. Riding back after we were done with our photos and making our grand entrance as Mr. and Mrs. Kallina to one of our favorite 90s country songs was the happiest moments of the entire day.
