Haley + Kole
Haley and Kole were married on private property, and wanted to have a seating area where guests could hang out before/after the ceremony. Just to the left of the tent is where the ceremony took place. In this fun little space, guests could drop off gifts, sign the guest book, and celebrate before heading to the Petroleum club for the reception! We love this unique set up that also served as a back up just in case rain decided it wanted to take over. Thankfully it didn’t! Whether the wedding is during the day, or at night, the Petroleum club is perfect. It had a romantic and intimate atmosphere, and it created an environment that Haley Kole could really celebrate in. Also, can we talk about the stunning views of the city? This is the tallest building in Billings, and it’s breathtaking! Haley, your wedding will go down as a 2019 favorite. Not just because of your killer style, but because of how personal your wedding was for us. It was so fun designing with you and celebrating the fact that it was your turn! We wish you two nothing but the absolute best, cheers to you!
– Montana Wedding Rentals + Decor, Better to Gather Events
Our vision for our wedding was a laid back, intimate and fresh celebration set on the raw natural beauty of Montana wilderness. We wanted a mix of modern paired with moody boho. White chairs and a chic circular arch adorned with pampas grass and touches of rust white florals popped against the raw beauty of the pasture and rolling hills. We wanted an intimate vow exchange surrounded by our closest family and friends, so we held a small traditional ceremony outside of town on private farmland. With my uncle officiating, family and friends in charge of shooting video interviews with guests, and my brother playing acoustic guitar while I walked down the aisle, the ceremony was filled with sentiment.
We chose to hold our reception at the Billings Petroleum Club with panoramic views of the city from the 22nd floor of the Double Tree Hotel. With a classic black and white theme and tons of textures like leather, marble, velvet, metal and wood, The Billings Petroleum Club gave off the perfect ambience to continue our theme of raw but classic beauty. Guests arrived to a cocktail hour and charcuterie trays, and mingled in front of the fireplace in the elegant yet cozy lounge. Tables were topped with minimal florals, tons of candlelight, and modern touches of white and geometric votives. Better To Gather Events hung customized Edison-bulb lighting over the dance floor for an industrial touch, and installed a huge iron grate adorned with lush florals behind the sweetheart table. A really cool aspect of our reception that Kole’s mom baked our cakes, so we had the ability to go all out! Catering to my taste, we had 7 different flavors of double-layer chocolate cakes. For Kole’s tastes, we made our cutting cake a white wedding cake with huckleberry filling and vanilla buttercream. After indulging in a prime rib dinner and eating as much cake as possible, we enjoyed an open bar with 200 friends and family members and danced the night away.
