Kali and Chris planned a lovely intimate destination wedding in Zion with about 50 of their closest friends and family. The bride and groom live in Northern California and Southern Utah is a special place to them! I loved so many things about their wedding, but I think what sticks out to me most about this day, is how full of joy and gratitude they were about everything. It had snowed the week of their spring wedding, with a pretty high chance of a snowstorm of their wedding day, which would be unnerving to most brides. But Kali was cool as a cucumber and just so happy about everything! It ended up being a beautiful and sunny day with snow-capped mountains. Completely picturesque! After the wedding ceremony, we hiked up to Canyon Overlook (it should be noted that they didn’t change outfits OR shoes for this). We took some beautiful images overlooking the park, but most of all, the couple just enjoyed themselves! They loved hiking right after the ceremony and it was perfectly suited to their personalities and style to do so. They couldn’t get over the beautiful view from the top and they were just so excited that they had just gotten married. It was a wonderful day. We spent about an hour taking photos in the park and then returned to their dinner and dance party until the sunset over the desert mountains.
