Amanda + Ryan
Amanda and Ryan’s story began when they were just 18 years old; Chasing one another around their small town, not quite wanting to settle down. Yet they were inseparable wherever they went. When Ryan turned 19 he ventured to Calgary, Alberta to start a new life, while Amanda remained in Ontario. Together in spirit, separated by much physical distance and focused on their lives, their connection remained and they stayed friends. One day, 7 years later, Ryan flew to Toronto to spend time with friends and family. Amanda and Ryan found themselves downtown on the same evening where their paths crossed. Like an evening created by fate, seeing one another again felt electric. A feeling of two souls, separated by time, distance, and circumstance; Reconnecting at last. Having promised to one day visit, Amanda and Ryan found themselves climbing their first Rocky Mountain together, making up for lost time and wondering where their path would lead them. A year later, the two were driving Amanda across Canada to uproot her to Calgary. Ever since, Amanda and Ryan have been moving mountains, learning, teaching and growing with one another. Building authentic love within themselves and one another. They soon discovered that they were each perfect reflections of the other’s souls. No coincidences, it’s as if the universe held time for these two souls to reunite in this lifetime, creating space for the deepest of connections, an unconditional love full of blessings and purpose.
On July 11, 2020, barefoot on the sand, in the mountain air, submerged in water, Amanda and Ryan’s love and union created alchemy amongst the stars; Vowing to never let time, distance or circumstance stand in their way. Quotes from their ceremony reading: “Something older than humanity, more ancient than the desert” —the Alchemist “There is only that moment, and the incredible certainty that everything under the sun has been written by one hand only. It is the hand that evokes love, and creates a twin soul for every person in the world. Without such love, one’s dreams would have no meaning” —the Alchemist
