Moraine Lake Real Wedding

Erin and Matthew flew to the Canadian Rockies from Chicago, bringing only their immediate family and a handful of friends. They woke up when it was still dark so they could see each other as the sun first rose above Moraine Lake (although instead, they saw each other in a flurry of a squall that was a blast of winter despite it being the 1st of September, because, Canada). They then made their up way up the Icefields Parkway to Peyto Lake overlook. Each of their guests received a single flower as a thank you for traveling to celebrate with them. Her father escorted her down the steep hill, keeping his fear of heights mostly hidden, and then they read their handwritten vows. That evening they reconvened at Chuck’s Steakhouse in Banff townsite for drinks and a meal, they stayed until closing, then saw their guests off the next day before we ventured into Yoho National Park for a handful more portraits, with a touch less snow.
