We chose Pyramid Lake as our ceremony site for a few reasons. First, the bridge there is so symbolic of our life and merging of our past and present and future love. Second, one of our first holidays together was travelling to the Middle East and seeing the pyramids in Egypt together. It’s amazing how the symbol for change is a triangle just like the pyramids. Pyramid Lake is a reminder to us to be open to change and to remind us how far we have grown in love together. We were able to get lost in the woods and have our first dance to “Lover” covered by Jonah Baker. It felt intimate and organic. For lunch we went to a local sandwich shop we surprised the owner with our elopement and from one hopeless romantic to another – we had a special fun experience. The sandwiches were also one of the best things we had ever eaten! I love any excuse to have a picnic and to utilize all the fun little trinkets I’ve been collecting. And it was a fun and safe way to enjoy a meal with our witnesses and officiant. Just the laid-back vibe of the elopement was amazing. Having a special and comfortable relationship with our photographer and videographer made us feel like our love was the top priority of the day. We had so much fun and laughter throughout the day and our photographer gave us a really special time for us to just be away from everyone and enjoy minutes that felt like forever for us to just be together and enjoy the moment.
