We had been dating for 6 years when Brad popped the question. I was in the last year of veterinary school and Brad had recently moved to the mountains for his dream job. On a rare weekend off, I headed to Brad's place for some much needed R&R (and a job interview of course!). The interview didn't go well so when I got home Brad wanted to go for a hike, I took some convincing. We hit the trail and immediately fell into step with each other. Hiking is one of our favorite things to do together and therapeutic. When we came to a beautiful mountain lake, Brad got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We will wed in September of this year at Bair Ranch in the Glenwood Canyon.
After hearing the proposal story and learning about us as a couple and the things we like to do together, our Photographer, Carrie Johnson, suggested that we travel somewhere epic for the engagement session. Aspen is such a beautiful place so we trusted her suggestions. She took us up over Independence Pass and the drive was so worth it! The views at 10,900 ft. Are incredible! It was a much needed escape from the heat at lower altitudes.
